Changeland has performed studies on the interaction of Crystalotherapy Salt Products with Electromagnetic Radiation (mobile phones, Wi Fi)
1st Report (16.12.2009) on Interaction with electromagnetic radiation: "Particularly effective in protection against electromagnetic radiation appears to be specimen C (salt rock used on the walls and ceiling of Crystalotherapy salt cave) with 84.11% absorption rate on the electromagnetic radiation. Indeed if one takes account that the specimen has small dimensions, we should interpret its performance on its physical properties and the structure of the crystal lattice....".
2nd Report (24.8.2011) Interaction with electromagnetic radiation:
- "Based on the results obtained from the measurements we found that the rock salt used in Crystalotherapy products shows damping properties of electromagnetic radiation which vary depending on the type and thickness of the material. In all cases we found that the attenuation introduced is less at lower frequencies, and generally range between 5dB-15dB, which are values much higher than those measured in a common wall (3-4 dB). From all salt rock elements and surfaces for were measurements were taken, the best was the wooden plate lined with rock salt (salt rock painting), which introduced attenuation greater than 10 dB across the spectral range of 27-3000MHz, which means practically that lets through only 1 / 10 of all sources of electromagnetic radiation... We also found that this material was not the one with the thicker, which means that the behavior of rock salt for the attenuation introduced by the electromagnetic radiation is not proportional to the amount of material, but possibly with the properties of the material (e.g. composition, crystalline structure)".
- "We observe that the wall of the salt cave with plasterboard, as was to measure 1 has better performance (around 10dB attenuation inserts) in the frequencies of mobile GSM900 (900-1000MHz), and the spectral range of wireless WiFi (2.4GHz)".
- "We observe that the wall of the salt cave with glass exterior, shows very good attenuation (> 10dB) at all frequencies above 900MHz, corresponding to the services of mobile 2G and 3G (GSM900, DCS1800, UMTS) and wireless networks WiFi".
